Our Story

Like many South Africans, braaiing has always been part of our lives. Weekend fires, family gatherings, camping trips, rugby afternoons — there was always good food and good company around the braai.

But there was one thing that constantly irritated us: the cheap aluminium trays and containers we all used.

They bent easily.
They leaked everywhere.
The lids never fitted properly.
After a few uses they looked terrible, smelled like old food, and eventually ended up in the bin.

No matter how good the braai was, the containers were always the weak point.

We got tired of wasting money on flimsy trays that never lasted. We wanted something stronger, cleaner, better-looking, and built to handle real South African braai culture.

That’s where BraaiBak was born.

We designed BraaiBak to be durable, premium, and made for people who take their braai seriously. Using high-quality food-grade stainless steel, airtight seals, and strong locking clips, we created a container that could finally replace the frustration of old aluminium trays.
